Ordination Day

Next week there will be a great day of happiness for the Catholic Church: we will add one more priest of Jesus Christ to Her ranks.  The event will occur on November 6th, 2013, at Most Holy Trinity Seminary in Brooksville, Florida.

The ordaining Bishop will be H.E. Bishop Daniel Dolan, and the ordinand is Rev. Mr. Bede Nkamuke, who after a period of training here in an American chapel (post ordination), will return to Nigeria, from whence he came, to service their three Mass centers and thereby restore regular truly Catholic non-una-cum Masses to that vast country.

Many of you will not be able to be there for various reasons, but we want to bring you coverage of this event.  Next week will be "Ordination Week" here at True Restoration and we will have various posts, including Restoration Radio shows around this event, featuring conversations with other priests who will be at the seminary to be part of this joyous birth of a new priest, at the hands of a successor of the Apostles.

Some time ago we shot the first ever High Definition Traditional Latin Mass according to pre-1955 rubrics and made it available for free on the internet.  It's heading to 40,000 views at this point.  We enjoy making these sublime ceremonies available to the general public.

We are going to head down to Florida to cover ordinations.  We will be shooting video of the ceremony and of the future Fr. Nkamuke's first Mass.  A 3-disc DVD will contain High Definition video of all of these events as well as an interview not previously available on DVD.  Part of the proceeds from the sale will go to the Seminary, but another part will also be set aside for the future apostolate in Nigeria, for the future Fr. Nkamuke to use in furthering the Gospel on the African continent.

The DVDs will ship on December 1st, in plenty of time for Christmas gifts.  These videos will not be available to TR Media streaming subscribers until January 1st, 2014.  Please consider purchasing the DVD set: they will be $49 prior to November 6th and $59 after that date.  The ordination of a priest is one of the most sublime things you can witness on this side of heaven.  If you can't be there, this is the next best thing.

What if you can't afford to buy the DVD but want to help support our coverage?  Well, you can contribute hotel points or gas cards.  Or perhaps you live on the route down from Kansas City to Brooksville, and you can put us up for the night?  We cover these events partly because we know no one else will, but mostly because we have a passion to share the Catholic faith with as many people as possible and digitizing the beauty of the Liturgy is one way to do that.  We pay for our own travel when we don't have help from benefactors.

Whether you buy the DVD, contribute gas money or hotel points or a spare bedroom, (you can always use the donate button and simply specify in the memo "for Ordinations") or even simply keep us in your prayers for a safe journey to and from Ordinations, please keep especially in your prayers Rev. Mr. Bede Nkamuke, who will become forever a priest of Jesus Christ, on November 6th.
