On this episode of Devotions with Bishop Dolan, we will discuss probably the most popular devotion practiced amongst Catholics today: The Holy Rosary.
Without a doubt the most well-known devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, it is yet impossible to have enough love for and to focus enough attention on this most powerful weapon given to the faithful from on High to grow in love of God, fight off the temptations of the devil, conquer personal sin and perservere in the Catholic faith than the Holy Rosary.
The Rosary and it's beads can be seen as a chain which links the faithful on earth both physically and spiritually to Heaven. Saints have said it that the faithful recitation of the rosary is a great sign of predestination, and sinners have used it for centuries to overcome the evil of habitual sin in their lives. The history of the Catholic Church is full of miraculous events surrounding the Holy Rosary, and many plentiful conversions of souls to the Church.
We could spend two lifetimes talking about this divine sacramental and never sufficiently explain it. But alas, for this month of the Holy Rosary, October, we will place it front and center on our program.
