Season 2, Flagship Show, Episode 17: The Resignation of Benedict XVI

Fr. Joseph Ratzinger Benedict XVI

Fr. Joseph Ratzinger
Benedict XVI

On this episode of the Flagship Show, we discuss the breaking news announced today that Father Joseph Ratzinger, also known as Benedict XVI, has made the decision to resign as claimant to the Papacy.

An organization such as the Roman Catholic Church that has an over-2000 year existence has both history and precedent.  Though it has been almost 1000 years since the last resignation, and the reasons given by Benedict match reasons given in the past, the real story for us to discuss is Benedict XVI's tenure and legacy and what awaits us on the horizon.

Joining us for this discussion will be His Excellency, Bishop Donald Sanborn, Rector of Most Holy Trinity Seminary in Brooksville, Florida.  His Excellency has exhaustively studied Father Ratzinger and has a keen understanding of his history, theology, and worldview.
