Season 2, Flagship Show, Episode 30: Ordinations and the Priesthood

On a special edition of the Flagship Show, we present a live show recorded on November 6, 2013 at Most Holy Trinity Seminary in Brooksville, Florida on the occasion of the ordination to the priesthood of Father Bede Nkumake.

FrN_Ordination

His Excellency, Bishop Donald Sanborn, with Father Bede Nkamuke on his ordination day: November 6, 2014

Stephen Heiner sat down with Father(s) Oscar Saavedra, Daniel Ahern, Stephen McKenna, and Charles McGuire to discuss the significance of a priestly ordination and to reflect on their own ordinations. In a rarely heard perspective on what it is like to go through an ordination and all the steps leading to that momentous occasion, this casual conversation with the Fathers shows the listener what exactly is going through an ordinand's mind as he approaches his ordination. Everything from lack of sleep the night before, to good natured humor about nearly falling asleep while prostrate before the tabernacle during the Litany of the Saints.

Join us as the Fathers give host Stephen Heiner a first hand "insider's perspective" on the steps to the priesthood, seminary life, and what the difference is in the life of the man once he becomes a Priest on his ordination day.
