From the Pulpit, Episode 7: Why Can’t We All Just Get Along?

Father Anthony Cekada

On this episode of From the Pulpit, we pull our title from that famous statement of Rodney King: "Why can't we all just get along?"

A tendency that many in the traditional Catholic world have today is to try to reconcile the many differences in those who attend the Latin Mass at the various trad outposts -- the diocesan indult (The "Motu Mass"), the SSPX, the FSSP, Sedevacantists, and Independents -- as really being no different and wondering why we all just can't see eye-to-eye. While the faith is certainly and unarguable at the core of us all, there are valid and legitimate differences on very important issues that separate us; namely - doctrine.

This is no small matter and it bears listening to a very concise sermon on why things are how they are and why doctrine cannot be sacrificed for the sake of "getting along."

Yes, let us all agree, but let us agree on doctrine first!

Join us as Father Anthony Cekada lays out in an intelligent, charitable, and yet non-compromising way the reasons for the various divisions in the traditional Catholic world - both amongst the clergy and the laity.
