From the Pulpit, Episode 39: Advent and New Year’s Resolutions

Father Germán Fliess

Father Germán Fliess

We welcome Father Germàn Fliess, seminary professor at Most Holy Trinity Seminary in Brooksville, Florida.

Advent is a time of penance. Penance is a species of justice, for justice seeks to restore and maintain balance and order, penance seeks to do so by removing the disorders of sin and putting the soul right with God by grace.

Secondly, Father Fliess discusses what, as Catholics, our New Year’s resolutions should be. God only looks for resolution on our parts, and will afterwards do all the rest Himself.
