The Flagship Show, Episode 10: The Olympic Games

Olympic Games London, England 2012

Olympic Games | London | 2012

On this month's episode of the Flagship Show, we discuss the Catholic perspective on the Olympic Games.

It is true that even St. Paul referred to the Olympics, in a way, in 1 Corinthians 9, when he refers to the runners running a race in order to obtain a crown.  What would St. Paul, and indeed, what should Catholics, think of the modern day Olympics?

With the 2012 Olympics kicking off on July 25th in London, we thought it would be a good time to discuss this oft-occurring sporting event. Join hosts Nicholas Wansbutter and Stephen Heiner who will have a spirited discussion and argue opposing positions on the Olympic Games.
