Weekend Roundup for Restoration Radio

If you missed our shows on Catholic Spain prior to the Spanish Civil War or The Olympics they are now available for free download.  I won't be able to join Restoration Radio this weekend so the discussion will be helmed by the very able editors of Durendal.  Here's the show description:

"This week on Restoration Radio we'll be delving into the social teaching of the Catholic Church, discussing the rights and duties of laymen in the temporal sphere, Catholic economic thought, and the politics of Christ the King."

Here's the link for the show, where you can listen live streaming or download later to listen at your leisure.

Take a country like India which has a population of 1.3 billion, many of whom are very poor. Lots of money was spent in preparing it's athletes for these games. They won just six medals – no gold among these. The bronze medalists were given cash handouts of $100,000 each. I'm not aware how much the two silver medalists got.
